"There are no words that can truly describe the magic of Heartful Retreats. Many Airbnbs are just a place to stay. Yvette and Derek are kind and gracious on-site hosts who provide the full bed & breakfast experience and at such a high standard. They both took the time to check in with us and also to chat with us throughout the visit, making us feel like we were at home. The individual living space was very clean and well laid out. It was wonderful to have two balconies with a water view from Panorama 2. The king size bed was very comfortable. The sofa bed in the living area was comfortable for lounging as well as for my friend who visited for part of the stay. The TV was perfect to use as a 2nd monitor (via HDMI cable) since I was working remotely. They provided toiletries for the shower as well as salts, etc. for the tub. There were plenty of soft, plush towels. The washer/dryer were convenient to wash clothes after paddle boarding and kayaking in the bay. The shared kitchen had all of the tools/utensils I needed to make salads as well as a grill outside. There was a Keurig with coffee pods, but also a refillable pod in case you bring your own ground coffee. The common areas were also very tidy and spacious. It was wonderful that Yvette and Derek cooked and baked together. Everything they made was delicious! The breakfasts were delicious, plentiful and I appreciated that they were well-balanced (protein, fruit, etc). They were so kind to ask about and work around dietary restrictions/preferences. In the main kitchen, they had a stash of treats, water, and even some fresh baked goodies. Breakfast was served in the dining room and they also offered a glass of wine while we chatted in the living room. The art studio is stocked with many different paints and other art supplies for guests to use. It’s inspiring to see Yvette’s gorgeous paintings throughout the home. The patio and garden were lovely areas to relax with a variety of seating areas, as well as a fire pit. Many colorful flowers were blooming and there are also many varieties of birds (hummingbirds, house finches, blue herons, and even some bald eagles soaring overhead). There is a stairway down to the beach, where you can take a stroll, launch a paddle board or kayak, which they offer for rental. The bay is well protected and was very calm when we were out paddling. We loved every minute of the stay and look forward to returning! This is absolutely one of my favorite Airbnbs!"
